The importance of the conservatory’s contribution to the musical education and creativity in Israel cannot be overstated.
The fact that this year the Conservatory marks 79 years since its establishment indicates, more than anything, its central place in Israel’s music life and activity.
Since its establishment the Conservatory has raised generations of world known musicians. Equally important is its contribution to the nurturing and expanding of circles of music and culture advocates.
The new conservatory abode, which meets the highest standards of musical institutions all over the world, has further contributed to its development, turning it to one of the most important musical education institutions in Israel.
Establishing the Friends of the Conservatory Association at the time of moving to the new abode, is a further manifestation of the bond of cooperation and reciprocity with the community. The support the Friends give the conservatory greatly contributes to its prosperity and expansion. It enables the Conservatory to offer a variety of programs and tracks of studies, and to address additional sectors of the Israeli society.

I wish to thank Advocate Maya Liquornik the former chair of the Friends of the Conservatory, who was one of the founders of the association and greatly contributed to its success. I intend to continue her commendable activity.

I call upon you to continue fostering and strengthening this significant institution. I hope that the sounds emerging from it will be heard as far and wide as possible.

Areas and activities supported by the Friends of the Conservatory.

• Studies scholarships – Every year the Conservatory grants both financial and merit scholarships to students who show will, talent and motivation to study music regardless of their financial state. These scholarships enable equality in the nurturing of excellence.
• Master classes and workshops under the guidance of internationally known artists.
• Supporting representative ensembles – the Israeli Big Band, Bat Kol choir etc.
• The Chamber Music Center – supporting the concert series and the educational activities of the Center.
• Supporting particular programs (the International Program for Ancient Music, the Perlman Music Program. Harp Days, Community programs, Young Sounds, etc.).
• Acquiring musical instruments.

Commemoration Donations

Donation “in memory of” is a remarkable way to bind together your name, or that of your loved one, to the Israel Conservatory’s activities and achievements. If you care about musical education, this donation is a noble way to bind contributing with commemorating.

• Studies scholarships “In the name of” – one can donate a scholarship which will be registered on the name of a person, or in memory of a person, mentioning also the name of the donor.
• An annual studies scholarship for students of the Conservatory/ the academic jazz program- Scholarship Fund for Conservatory students/the academic jazz program.
• Sponsoring a concert, master classes, or a particular project dedicated to you and your loved one.
• Commemoration through professional musical instruments – donation or loan (for at least 10 years) of musical instruments. The instruments are to be used in concerts and in specific programs, as well as be loaned to exceptional Conservatory students during their studies. The donor’s name or commemorated person’s name will be marked in a plaque on the instrument, or by writing the name in the relevant programs and publications.
• A chair “in the name of” – a chair in the auditorium in your name or that of your loved one. The donation will be used for the maintenance of the auditorium and for advancing the concerts and musical activities in the auditorium. The donation will be marked by writing the name of the donor/commemorated person on a plaque attached to the chosen chair, for the period of five years.
• Halls and rooms “in the name of” – naming activity rooms, installations and working spaces. The donation will be used for buying equipment and for regular maintenance of the room/ installation.
